Companies worth between $2 billion to $10 billion are generally described as “mid-cap stocks,” and IPG perfectly fits that description, with its market cap exceeding this mark, underscoring its size, influence, and dominance within the communication services sector. While IPG shares are currently trading 17.8% below their 52-week high of $33.05, touched on Dec. 9, 2024, the stock has declined 3.4% over the past three months, compared to the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX), which declined 6% during the same period. ![]() IPG has declined 14.1% over the past six months, falling behind $SPX's 2.2% decline. IPG’s rival, Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC), is in the same boat, with its shares declining 19.3% over the past six months and 14.3% over the past 52 weeks. Among the nine analysts covering the IPG stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” The mean price target of $33.12 suggests a 21.9% upside potential from current price levels.
